CHOIR “GLINKA” 15th OF OCTOBER IN NIS

Choir of State academic chapel “Glinka” from Sankt Peterburg will perform 15th of October in the Cathedral in Nis in at 8 pm, said Church – singing clique “Branko” from Nis. Choir “Glinka” is established in year 1479 and on the repertoire has more then 250 opuses including and “Divine liturgy of John Chrysostom” composed by Stevan Stojanovic Mokranjac. This is second appearance of Russian choir in Nis. First time “Glinka” appeared in the year of 2007, with occasion of making of 120 years existence and work of Church-singing clique “Branko” in Nis. On the program that will be performed by this occasion include and “Liturgy of John Chrysostom” on Roma language, composed by Zoran Mulic from Novi Sad. City of Nis is in “Decade of Roma” third city in the world where it will be performed this program.

Patrons of this great event in culture are City of Nis, City Municipalities of Palilula, Mediana and Crveni Krst. Tickets for this concert will go in sale from 13th of October 2010 in Cathedral in Nis and in the shops of Orthodox Church in the streets Dusanova and Strahinjica Bana, at a cost of 1000 RSD. Cost of ticket for pupils and students is 500 RSD.
